“I wanted to buy BNB on Trust Wallet, but it says that it’s not available.” Since many people have posted this same complaint on reddit, are you also one of those who cannot buy BNB on Trust Wallet?

Well, you are not alone if you are trying to add BNB to your Trust Wallet but keep getting the “Coin Not Available” error.

This problem has been experienced by users every now and then! However, worry not because you are luckily at the right place. In this article, you can find out why the BNB currency is sometimes not available on Trust Wallet and how to buy it when it happens.

With that said, let’s start reading—

About Trust Wallet

For those who don’t know Trust Wallet is (iOS/Android) software that allows one to store and buy all types of cryptocurrencies.

This diverse noncustodial cryptocurrency wallet app was created in 2017 to facilitate cryptocurrency users, allowing them to deposit, send, receive and stake over 1 million cryptocurrencies and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) from their smartphones.

In short, through the Trust Wallet app, one can buy cryptocurrency, send and receive coins, and buy and sell NFTs

However, there is no doubt that new cryptocurrency users will appreciate the simplicity of the Trust Wallet app but sometimes may experience problems while buying cryptocurrency exchanges such as BNB.

So, it would not be wrong to say that choosing the Trust Wallet app to store, buy and send assets is a smart move, but to admit that nothing in this world is error free is great.

Why is BNB Not Available on Trust Wallet?

Normally you can buy or trade BNB and other cryptocurrencies directly within the Trust Wallet. But, Trust Wallet users sometimes get “Coin not available” error when trying to buy BNB.

“Coin not available” error when buying BNB on Trust Wallet.

Wonder why?

Let us tell you that this error usually occurs when there is volatility in the markets and the demand for the currency is very high, causing service interruption. Therefore, the platform temporarily suspends trades until the influx of users subsides.

In other words, when you are facing a problem in buying BNB cryptocurrency, it does not mean that the problem is with the app or the platform; rather it is the high demand for BNB which may prevent you from buying it on Trust Wallet.

However, this is not the only reason why you cannot buy BNB on Trust Wallet. So, the answer to the question- “Are there other reasons why BNB is not available on Trust Wallet?” – is “Yes.”

The error message can also be the result of blacklisted IP, location, or ISP blocking issues.

How to Find Out What’s Actually Causing the BNB Not Available Problem?

Albeit, we have just mentioned that the error you are getting on the app can be due to a few factors, finding out which one is actually causing the problem can be a bit tricky.

So, let us show you what you can do when you don’t know why you can’t purchase the BNB coin on Trust Wallet—

What to Do If Experiencing ‘BNB Is Not Available on Trust Wallet’ Issue?

Wait:

You already know that when the demand for BNB is very high, there will be a service interruption, and you will not be able to buy BNB until it gets less.

But, when this happens, note that the technical team of the service will be working to fix the interruptions. Hence, it is suggested that you should wait till the service will restore itself.

To be precise, you need to wait for 30 minutes to an hour before trying again.

Perform a Troubleshooting:

If you have waited a few hours, and you are still not able to buy the crypto, then maybe the high demand for BNB is not the problem.

In that scenario, to avoid having to wait for a few more hours, you can perform a ‘Troubleshoot’ on your phone thus eliminating other possibilities.

That being said, here’s what you can do—

  • On your respective (Android/iPhone) device, download a VPN app and then, open Trust Wallet with a VPN to buy BNB.
  • Use another (Android/iPhone) mobile phone or tablet to log in to your Trust Wallet and then, try to buy BNB.
  • Try logging into your Trust Wallet from a different address or ISP to purchase BNB successfully.

But, if none of these works, you should try contacting the cryptocurrency provider that you’re facing the issue with while buying BNB on Trust wallet app.

Contact Trust Wallet Support:

To seek help from the Trust Wallet support crew, you need to follow these steps—

  • Step 1: Open the ‘Trust Wallet App.’
  • Step 2: Navigate to the ‘Settings.’
  • Step 3: Press the ‘About’ option.
  • Step 4: There, take a ‘Screenshot’ of the wallet, including all the errors or the missing balance.
  • Step 5: Once you have gathered all the screenshots, simply attach all the photos and contact the support.

Now, wait for them to contact you and help you with troubleshooting.

Where Can You Buy BNB When It Is Not Available on the Trust Wallet?

If you are in a hurry to buy BNB and Trust Wallet is giving you trouble, there are few other options where you can buy all the crypto you need and transfer it to the Trust Wallet.

Wonder what those options are? Well, they are the followings—

Try Trust Wallet’s Other Cryptocurrency Providers:

Trust Wallet has multiple cryptocurrency providers including “Simplex”, “MoonPay”, “Wyre”, and “Mercuryo”. So, you can go directly to the service provider, like Simplex or MoonPay and buy BNB there.

However, note that, if you are trying to buy BNB through Simplex on Trust Wallet, and it is not available there as well, you can try contacting Simplex for help.

In addition, make sure to check their system status for more information and if there are delivery delays or purchasing issues, they’ll be shown on Simplex’s system status page.

Consider Buying BNB on Other Crypto Exchanges:

This option suggests you to use another crypto exchange to buy your BNB tokens. The good thing about BNB is that it’s a popular token and is available on a number of popular crypto exchanges such as FTX, Huobi, and Kucoin.

Buy BNB on Binance:

The last and the most ideal alternative to Trust Waller for buying BNB is using Binance.

However, we agree with the fact that Trust Wallet supports several cryptocurrency platforms, for example, Simplex and Moonpay. But, their fees are a bit high, making Binance the obvious choice among users.

[Note: Binance is the biggest cryptocurrency exchange in the world, plus they also own Trust Wallet.]

Nevertheless, you can have a look at the table given below for a quick comparison—

Crypto ExchangeSpot Trading Fees
Binance0.1.%
MoonPay4.5%
Simplex3.5% – 5%

Since Binance has one of the lowest spot trading fees, it is no surprise that buying BNB coins from Binance will yield the highest payouts.

Next, what you’ve to do is paste your Smart Chain address from Trust Wallet on the “BNB Smart Chain Address” field. However, while doing that, make sure you select the Binance Smart Chain address (BSC BEP20) instead of the BEP2 or ERC20.

After pasting the smart chain code, enter the ‘Amount of BNB’ that you want to transfer to the Trust Wallet.

[Note: While Binance sets a minimum withdrawal amount for Binance coin BNB as 0.02 but, this shouldn’t be an issue for users, as the minimum amount is around £3, or $4. And, according to current rates, the withdrawal fee is about 0.0005 BNB or 10 cents.]

Lastly, just tap on the “Withdraw” button.

Paste your ‘Smart Chain Code,’ enter the ‘Amount of BNB’ and tap on the “Withdraw” button.
